NEFERTITI  was the Wife of King Akhenaten an Egyptian pharaoh, during the Eighteenth Dynasty. Nefertiti is known to be possessed of charm and exuding happiness, which comes to mind when you visualize this wedding gown, an artistic masterpiece.

This stunning ethnic inspired wedding attire is made of white hand cut voile lace with stones, silver lace trim, and silver hand painted cowrie shells. Silver cowrie shells and silver lace trim are stitched onto the white voile lace with embedded stones.

Cowrie Shells are symbolic of spiritual grounding, protection, fertility, and bridewealth. Used for currency, cowrie shells were the most popular form of money in Africa and the Egyptians revered them as. In today’s modern society, cowrie shells have become very symbolic among African descendants and other cultural expressions in America and through-out the world.

FOR WOMAN: The woman’s lace gown has a sheer (chiffon) detachable train with silver lace trim all around the edge. The woman’s dress has lace cape adorned with silver trim and silver cowrie shells.
